People have been learning the Back Rescue methods of Alexander Technique
for over 100 years. So what's the big secret?
The
secret is that you can't learn this brilliant, effective and pragmatic
technique through a book or a video. The discoveries of FM Alexander
are subtle and surprising. Once you understand how to apply the Alexander
skillset it will change your life but you need to learn with
an experienced Alexander Technique teacher. Michael and Jane Shellshear
have been teaching people how to apply the Alexander Technique for
many years.
Expert, practical instruction
Michael has been teaching Alexander Technique for twenty
years, Jane for fifteen years. Michael is a past Chair of the
Alexander Technique Society and is a current member of the Teacher
Training Committee for that organisation. He has trained Alexander
Technique and/ or Manual Handling for Apple, Boral, Liverpool City
Council, Penrith City Council, Australian Tax Office, and all around
Australia bringing Alexander Technique to regional centres.
Jane is a highly experienced and qualified Alexander Technique instructor
who has trained individuals and groups. She brings an expertise to
the analysis of posture and gait especially in performance. An acomplished
musician and music trainer, Jane's ability to recognise patterns and
uncover tension is phenomenal.
Together, Michael and Jane bring you a powerful and integrated experience
of the Alexander Technique. Articulate, pragmatic and tailored to help
you.
Alexander Technique is consistently successful because it's educational
not therapeutic; we don't cure you, we show you how to take control
and improve.
